Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  •    State the ALA Mission, Vision, Purpose, and Preamble.
  •    Explain the history of ALA.
  •    Summarize and describe the ALA Mission and illustrate, in their actions and words, what that means.
  •    Share with others some of the many ALA accomplishments.
  •    State the focus of the organization and how the Centennial plan will accomplish this.
  •    List some of the many benefits available to members.
  •    Describe how membership dues are allocated.
  •    List and describe the American Legion Family.
